Who is Kneitz?
KNEITZ is an Austrian premium manufacturer of velour and flat-woven fabrics, specifically designed for the public transportation and automotive industries. Founded in 1969 by Herbert Kneitz GmbH, the company has built a reputation for quality and innovation over several decades.
In 1989, Kneitz shifted its focus entirely to interior fabrics for the European and Asian automotive markets. As part of this shift, the company phased out plain knitted and raschel machine-knitted fabrics, investing heavily in flat weaving and velour machines to better meet industry demands.
Now fully independent since separating from its parent company in 2002, Kneitz continues to grow and has firmly established itself as a premium global supplier of flatweaves and moquettes.
