What Alcantara is right for you?

Alcantara is an Italian-made, durable faux suede which has a soft suede like pile made from microfibers. Renowned for its exceptional durability, Alcantara is perfect for your car’s interiors, such as seating, headlining and any other panels or dashboards.
As mentioned previously, there are many different uses for Alcantara. The below descriptions highlight the main uses of each of the different types of Alcantara to choose from:
Panel Non-FR- unbacked Alcantara® which allows for more malleability when working with the fabric. Great for headlining, Dashboards and Panels.
- Allows for more give, making it easier to stretch round and manipulate.
- Better for the smaller, tighter places in door cards for example.
Panel FR –The most versatile Alcantara® of the three. With a sprayed on black FR backing, it is slim enough to be a fine choice for panels and rigid enough to make superb seating.
- Gives more rigidity due to the FR backing.
- Better for larger door cards, larger headlining’s, or seating.
Seating – Thicker than the Panel Non-FR and Panel FR, Seating is complete with a white cotton backing. This is perfect for seating on a variety of chairs.
- Otherwise known as cover
- The thickest and most rigid of the three with a cotton backing.
- Recommended for seats with less cushioning.
