Choosing the right hooding for you

Whether you have a vintage car, classic car or a modern car, we are sure that we stock a suitable automotive hooding for you.  We stock and supply a wide range of hooding for multiple applications. These range from modern car hooding, to the more often request classic car hoodings. Please see below for details on the ranges we supply. 

Contract Rivenhood / Mohair:

Suitable for luxury sports cars, Contract Rivenhood is commonly referred to as Mohair hooding. It is a canvas woven material that has a dobby lining backing.  The hooding comes in 6 colours and you can choose to have either a black or a fawn dobby lining.  The hooding material is 150cm wide and available in cut pieces or 25m rolls.

Dobby Lining:

Dobby lining is a thin lining material used on the underside of hooding material such as our Contract Rivenhood. It can be sold separately and available in either black or fawn. The material is 173cm wide and available in cut pieces or 25m rolls.

Duck Hooding:

Also known as double duck, it is the traditional material used for trimming the hoods of pre-war and vintage vehicles. This tightly-woven canvas is a flexible cotton-type hooding ideal for keeping the wind and rain out of vintage Bentleys, Rolls Royce’s, Aston Martins, MGs and more.  Comes in black and fawn and is 170cm wide.

Wigan Hooding:

Wigan hooding is used for trimming the hoods of classic cars. The material comes with a very fine weave and is quite light weight. Only available in black and comes in a 170cm width.

Stayfast Hooding:

Stayfast is a black mohair like material that is extremely high quality and stylish. Stayfast hoods do not shrink, the waterproof membrane makes the fabric very stable. The material is also 150cm wide and is only available in black.

Everflex Hooding:

Our Everflex is the perfect material for making a vinyl hood for a car. Everflex has unparalleled waterproofing properties and is extremely durable. Everflex is used on Rolls Royce hoodings, Morgan hoodings, Jaguar hoodings and Austin Healey hoodings.  The range comes in 4 colours and is 137cm wide.
